here’s some pretty low quality audio from last night’s reading, which, by the way, was quite exceptional. he read only one story from his new book, then read a handful of his recent diary entries, told a bunch of dirty and hilarious jokes, plugged another author’s book, and fielded a few clumsy/boring questions from the crowd.
in hindsight, i’m kicking myself for not buying a copy of david’s new book, Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk (or Let’s Explore Diabetes With Owls), and having him sign it for my mom as a christmas present. rats.
but you providence and boston kids are in luck! the tour is heading your way and i strongly encourage you to go. and if you’re mom shares a similar taste, you should surprise her with a signed copy, and not be a fuck up like me.
